What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026
The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should round things out when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the thing that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not guarantee anything. But be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it depends on you.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you deposit.
